Following a call for proposals by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI) that HESAM won in spring 2016, HESAM Université launched the “HESAM For Africa” programme to promote student mobility to Côte d’Ivoire.

“HESAM For Africa” situates the African continent as a priority action zone for student mobility with several objectives:

  • Launching a series of programmes promoting student mobility to the African continent
  • Consolidating partnerships between HESAM Université and INP-HB

In connection with this programme, a call for proposals was launched to all students registered in institutions that are members of the community in order to give outgoing mobility grants for Côte d’Ivoire.

In order to establish this project, HESAM Université received financing of €35,000 from CNAM and MESRI to fund outgoing mobility scholarships for French students to Côte d’Ivoire. Eight candidates were selected by the committee and received scholarships ranging from €1,000 to €3,000.

A selection committee made up of Philippe Durance (economist, professor at Cnam), Audrey Stewart (director of European and international relations, Arts et Métiers), Bendicht Weber (vice-president for development at HESAM Université and professor at ENSAPLV) and Christian Pédelahore (professor at ENSAPLV) met in mid-February 2018 to consider applications that were received following the online launch of this call for applications.

After a series of fruitful deliberations on the nature of the projects that were submitted, their relevance, and their quality in relation to the selection criteria, 8 candidates were selected for a total of 5 projects  :
